What began as a friendship in sophomore year of college evolved into a mission to revolutionize the property management industry.
Our founders, Shiv Gettu and Kendrick Bradley, met while taking the same math classes at USC and bonded over their shared deep-rooted connection to real estate.
While Shiv comes from five generations of real estate (going all the way to his great-great-grandfather in India), Kendrick grew up surrounded by structural engineers, architects, and property managers through his father's real estate engineering company.
When COVID-19 hit in 2020, Shiv & Kendrick found themselves working as leasing agents, experiencing firsthand the daily challenges of property management teams.
They spent countless hours scheduling tours, answering the same questions repeatedly, and managing leads at all hours. This hands-on experience revealed a crucial insight: long-term rental management is filled with inefficiencies that keep teams from focusing on what matters most – building relationships with residents.
This realization led to the birth of Zuma in 2021.
Today, Zuma powers some of the largest property management companies in the US, including Fairfield, AIR Communities, Case & Associates, Raintree Partners, Griffis Residential, ZRS, and many more.
